Never Forgotten

Remember when we used to laugh at fountains in the park
I laughed at all our silly things, you smiled at my remarks

We bought the gift of friendship and placed it at His feet
Then walked along ambrosial paths that led out to the sea

I thank the Host of Heavens for remembering all we are
I thank Him most of all His mercy knows us from afar

Time does not permit our paths to lead us as before
But once again Ill lean on you near distant briny shores

Will speak of things so dear to us and laugh once more my friend
And hold the hand of He who waits for us to reach the end
